We provide a full range of geoscience computing services. By combining our field experiences with practical computer sciences our development group has, over the years, developed numerous in-house software packages to augment commercial packages or address specific geoscience applications. Current software development is written in Python but our development team also has experience in a variety of programming languages, including Java, C++, Fortran, Pascal and IDL, on both Windows and Linux operating systems. The software development team is available for any software projects (single use or long-term support) including conversion of programs to take advantage of our Beowulf cluster computer systems.
This support has given us an edge in providing high quality geophysical services and rapid turnaround with the 2D and 3D modeling and visualization needed to integrate well with geological and geochemical results. These computing services are also individually available to clients who do not need field services. Our staff has considerable experience in supporting technical and computing services globally through both on site support and remote communication of data to regional or head offices.
In addition to developing software, S.J.V. Consultants Ltd. is licensed to sell the inversion software developed by the UBC Geophysical Inversion Facility that we use in house; support is available for all programs at an additional cost.
